Visiting Japan?

If your planning to visit more than one city in Japan, I would strongly reccomend to purchise Japan Rail Pass. But if your staying in one city only(Tokyo or Osaka etc.) then I would reccomend to get day pass.(around us$20~$30).

Japan Rail Pass.

There are so much to see and do in Tokyo alone, the easiest way to go on your own is by train, take the "Yamanote Line" which goes in cycle, it covers major attraction sites.
Unboard at least at following stations: Ueno, Akihabara, Tokyo, Shibuya, Harajuku, Shinjuku and Ikebukuro.

  1. *Asakusa Kannon Temple and Nakamise traditional craft shops(near Asakusa station).
  2. *National Museum(near Ueno Station).
  3. *Kabukichou(near Shinjuku station)for night life, kind of red light district, but its clean and safe.
  4. *Imperial Palace(near Tokyo station).
  5. *Ginza Exclusive shopping district(near Tokyo station, opposite Imp.Palace)
  6. *Tokyo Tower(near Hamamatsuchou station).

If your interested in Japanese Heritage buildings, then "Edo Tokyo Open Air Architecture Museum" is must see.
I really like this Museum. All the buildings are authentic(few hundread years old) and each houses are unique(one of its kind).
Admission is very cheap, 350 yen~ 400 yen.
Open 9:30 am to 5:30 pm(closed Mondays),7 minutes by bus from Musashi Koganei Station on the JR Chuo Line(train).
Board the bus at bay 2 or 3 at Musahi Koganei station North exit.
